R. Kelly Attacked in Jail

R Kelly has reportedly been moved to solitary confinement after being attacked in his prison cell by an inmate angry with his fans causing the jail to repeatedly go into lockdown.


Attorney Nicole Blank Becker breaks down the full details on the attack on R. Kelly the R&B singer, who is awaiting trial on child pornography and other charges, was assaulted by a fellow detainee at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago.


Kelly, 53, faces several dozen counts of state and federal sexual misconduct charges in Illinois, Minnesota and New York, from sexual assault to heading a racketeering scheme aimed at supplying him with girls. The Grammy Award winning singer has denied ever abusing anyone.


Kelly’s supporters have sometimes demonstrated in front of the downtown jail where Kelly is being held, Greenberg said, and when that occurs the facility goes on lockdown -- making Kelly’s fellow inmates angry at him, he argues in the filing.


He has repeatedly denied all the accusations against him.
